RSVP On Meetup.com Learn to solder! Every Sunday, from 1-5pm, IXR's Soldering Workshop is open to the public! Come on in, grab a kit, and learn this useful skill. Or if you have your own kit or project, you can bring that in too. (RadioShack in Wall Twp. has a big selection of kits.) Our basic learning kit is $7, and will take 40-60 minutes to complete. Recommended age: 8-adult. (Adult supervision is required.) While your here, you can also visit the InfoAge Museums, open 1-5pm, which includes exhibits such as Vintage Computers Museum, Radio Technology Museum, the Shipwreck Museum, and more. Open House: IXR's Technology Lab is also open to the public on Sundays, so if you 'd like to stop in, check out the facilities, and meet some of our members, this is a good time! Microcontroller MondaysArduinos, Propellers, Bus Pirates and more - It's Monday night microcontroller madness!
This is a study group where we get together, share, experiment, and work on projects while helping each other learn about various microcontrollers, like the Arduino. Format of this group will be:
IXR Lab Resources: Available for lab use- We have numerous Arduino shields and various displays to experiment with, Arduinos, a Propellers, an FPGA system, AVR Dragon and AVR Programmers, and a library of microcontroller books. Or, design your own robot using the EDDIE robot development platform with Microsoft Kinect. Plus, a well-equipped electronics lab. Beginners welcome: Even if you've never used a microcontroller before, come on in! You can use one from the lab and we'll help set you up with some starter projects. BRING: If you have your own laptop, bring it. If you have your own Arduino or other microcontroller to work on, bring it too. If you do not have a laptop or a microcontroller, thats OK! Just please state so in your RSVP so I can be sure to have one available for you from our lab. COST: Microcontroller Mondays are Free to IXR members; for non-members there is a $5 recommended donation. Crafty FridaysCraftpunks, makers, tinkerers, hobbyists... whatever name you use, come share your interests, hang out and show us the cool things you make!

BRING: If you have your own laptop, bring it. If you do not have a laptop that's OK! Just please state so in your RSVP so we can be sure to have one available for you from our lab. The internet is a great resource to find projects if you don't already have one in mind. COST: Crafty Fridays are Free to IXR members; for non-members there is a $5 recommended donation. ****Please remember to leave the lab as you found it, and clean up when you're done.
